Welcome to Thrive Rehabilitation. I am so excited to finally get this website and blog up and running. I look forward to sharing information about Physical Therapy, nutrition, Pilates, and many other health and wellness topics. You will probably also hear a fair share of stories just about my life and the struggles that I have that many of you probably have as well.
First if you haven’t yet you can find out more about me and my journey to health by clicking on the My Story button. I won’t go into all the details but I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason and I believe that I was allowed to have the health challenges I have had so that I can help others find their own healing journey as well. At Thrive Rehabilitation my mission is to help those struggling with chronic pain or just struggling with general health conditions, find a way to not only manage their symptoms but to take charge of their own health. Through a holistic approach incorporating nutrition, movement in a Pilates based manner, treating mechanical dysfunctions through the use of Physical Therapy and guiding you through other lifestyle changes, my goal is to help you thrive in the life you have been given.
I want to share a little about why I chose the name Thrive Rehabilitation for this company. To be honest the idea first came to me when I was singing in the car at the top of my lungs (yes, I’m one of those people) to the song “Thrive” by Casting Crowns. It is, and always will be one of my favorites. It talks about how we were made to thrive which I feel is so true. We were each created for a purpose, uniquely designed different than anyone else. But we have also all been given unique challenges to overcome along the way that I feel, help mold us into the person were created to be. While I would love to live a life of ease, where everything goes well, and I always feel good, deep down I know that if I did I wouldn’t be molded into the person I want to become or was created to be. Which led me to realize that if I can’t live a problem free, pain free, illness free life, then how can I thrive in the life and situations I have been given. This is what has driven me on my health journey and what drives me to help others to discover how they can thrive in whatever situation they have been dealt.
So, here’s to my first blog post for Thrive Rehabilitation, lets “bust it” today (a little term I like to use to motivate me to be the best me today) and Thrive in what ever situation we have been given!
